Just here to say that Asa's review of Moana 2 is chaaaaaar-miiing.

I know it's on brand to wax poetically about it, but that Everett McGill story is one of those things that just makes it feel to me like everything lined up magically for The Return to happen at the last possible moment it could truly happen. I'm sure Lynch could've figured out ways around many of the other cast members being gone, but it's much easier to accept the crazier inclusions of deceased cast members when so many of the original were able to come back for one last go.

Plus who would want to live in a world without hearing Albert say "Fuck you, Gene Kelly, you motherfucker."

Neither here nor there as far as threads to follow in The Return, but when Griffin mentions Caleb Landry Jones bombing a job interview, I wasn’t sure if he realized that the interviewer was Bobby’s friend Mike from the original series! They maybe never say his name? Or indicate that that’s probably how he got the interview (Bobby calling a favor for his daughter’s junkbag husband)?

Great playlist JJ. Happy to see Total Blue in there. I will miss Pitchfork Fest so much next summer.

Having just returned from my first time in London, I second AJ’s recommendation that the London Underground is great and easy to use!

Love the updates and extra context. One question. Did the Cats and JD Patreon episodes switch places?

The above schedule is accurate - JD is our last patreon of the year

My wife and I are hoping to take our 6yo son with us to see Wicked—he religiously watched “the first film to be in technicolor”, The Wizard of Oz, on repeat during lockdown and loves to hear “Elsa” sing Defying Gravity—but he’s a sensitive soul who cried uncontrollably during all the robot violence in Transformers One, and I bet he wouldn’t enjoy the anthropomorphic animals having their rights taken away. It’ll be a breeze, though, with my ongoing Regal Unlimited membership (thanks to #BLANKCHECK).

I’m also the worst person to grab ideas for holiday gifts, but I was very quick to share the new link to the merch store to my wife for ideas.

Ended Thanksgiving with the proper viewing of “Knives Out”, already delved into the classic Christmas films (Muppets Christmas Carol and Elf), and hoping to check out The Holdovers for the first time. Tis the Season, y’all.
