I wonder if we can get Marie to use a true M-dash—the way J.J. does. Instead of looking like - this.

It's super easy on Apple devices. On Macs: Shift-Cmd-hyphen. On iPhone/iPad: Put two hyphens between words without spaces--like this--and they will magically become em-dashes.

On Windows: God only knows.

> Does Zoe Saldana lose in Best Supporting Actress, and does Ariana Grande take her place?

Nightmare scenario.

Gascon was never going to win and Netflix--which would prefer to *shut down the industry*--will never succeed in buying a best picture Oscar. The tweets scandal hurts Saldana the most and it's a goddamn shame. Just a year after the best Oscars in recent memory (correct wins in every top category but adapted screenplay), they might hand an Oscar to a dingbat pop singer over a worthy veteran, just to 'punish' a third party.

Ariana is good in Wicked

I'm sure. But--just my crazy take--Oscars should go to actors.

What does this even mean...Ariana Grande began her career acting on Broadway and Nickelodeon. Also, she was acting in Wicked and is therefore an actor. Saying the award shouldn't go to someone because of their previous career is a terrible take and also doesn't even apply here.

Jacques Audiard might be furious with Gascón for tanking all their chances, but at least she took away attention from his own recently discovered gaffe. When he was asked why he made Emilia Pérez in Spanish instead of French or English, he said it's because Spanish is the language of poor people and migrants. Lovely people, really.

What a calamitous mistake this movie was. Audiard used to be known to cinephiles as the master behind A Prophet and Rust and Bone. Now he's known to the wider world as the bozo who made Emilia Perez.

Let AJ know that that brand doesn't act as a decongestant. Phenylephrine doesn't work when ingested. You need a nasal spray for phenylephrine to have any sort of interaction.

Even though it does nothing when ingested, they include it so they can call it a decongestant without it being false advertising.

You'll need pseudoephedrine if you want a pill based decongestant.

Anyway, love the show and it's a good read now too!

Gotta say I have to hard disagree with their opinions on this one. I really enjoyed 1941, thought it was very funny, and had a great old school (30's and 40's) epic comedy feel. Some of that may be my ADD allowing me to enjoy the all-over- the-place nature of the movie, but other than some of the jokes with the Japanese soldiers feeling a little iffy, I found most of it a silly and over the top delight. Sorry guys, but I think you let a little bit of the years of criticism and backlash towards this movie color your viewing experience. Still love the show, can't wait for Raiders and despite my disagreement, you and the Doughboys are always hilarious. Have a great week and hope for the best in L.A, hang in there boys.

1941 is a great movie with amazing technical effects and a grand scope that movies today can only dream of having. People shouldn't be discouraged from watching it. There's also some slander in this week's pod towards It's Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. Which is insane because that movie is a masterpiece.

Thank you. I feel the exact same way and was going a little crazy thinking I might be alone. Still need to watch Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World but I've only ever heard good things so David's comment definitely threw me off.

If you even have the slightest of interest in Hollywood or comedy history, Mad world is a much watch. Almost every single living comedy legend at the time has a role, whether it be a main one or a walk-on cameo.

To JJ, you can skip season 1 of US traitors, it’s honestly boring, 2 is better, and everyone says the Australian seasons are the best
