This “Wisconsin” place sounds sick but it’s probably too good to be true. There’s no way that they, like, serve you a little mini beer on the side when you order a Bloody Mary or have a special anachronistic name for drinking fountains…
Ethan Hunt, covered in numerous Blank Check episodes, is canonically a Wisconsinite. Established in the brief subplot about his family getting framed in the first film
Played through from Waukesha to Lacrosse about 29 years ago. Shout-out to The Onion headquarters, the Dells, and Milwaukee, which remains frozen in 1972.
Hiya, Jack! Ahhh, Racine, Wisconsin, the home town of celebrated children’s author Kevin Henkes and two-time NBA all-star Caron Butler. My first-hand experience of Racine is almost exclusively as a place we would drive through to get to Six Flags Great America growing up and then later college, but I do know that there’s a lot of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture there (much as there is in the rest of the state, but the stuff in Racine is pretty wild).
Please check out Hob Nob for a meal. It’s a higher end Wisconsin style supper club with incredible views of Lake Michigan. Settle in with good friends for three plus hours of fantastic drinking and dining.
I’m so pleased that JJ’s dossier notes will get a highlight in these (I’m always wondering about how much of these things even get into the episode).
Marie nailed this prose, I’m so excited to get these updates, heck I even download the substack app for this announcement!
Really interested in next week’s episode. I used my *new* Regal Unlimited membership (promo code BLANKCHECK) to check out Here last Friday. I was entertained, am interested in checking out the graphic novel, and wept when the “final moment” occurred in the cinema (I think I was just surprised after being atrophied in that same corner of the house for so long).
Wow it sounds like I really gotta check out this "Wisconsin"
I would love to hear the reaction if the team ever made it to House on the Rock. A truly singular experience.

Totally second the Devil's Lake shout out! I was there for a day this summer and it kinda blew me away. Bordering on a national parks tier spot imo
I think the "no swearing" rule at Le Tigre would definitely appeal to Lynch.
My sister went to U of Wisconsin Madison for undergrad so I’ve been there a few times! Lovely place
Dude, do you ever go to the Muskellounge and Sporting Club? It's the best.

Alex Barron could only contribute 5 words because Balatro is that addictive
Wisconsin Blankies please rise up
This is wonderful! Love the selected dossier stories
Wisconsin rocks, I wish it was real
"JJ recommends the entire state of Wisconsin"
I love that guy
The mustard museum is great 👍
I can't wait to hear the "No Episode"!
So, is JJ going to campaign to guest on the Wisconsin episode of E Pluribus Motto when Hodgman & Varney get to it?
JJ: bravo, that joke about recommending the entire state of Wisconsin made me cackle
Wow, am really surprised about the David Lynch stuff in this post. Very informative. Thank you.
Thank you for giving me something to read rather than Doom Scroll. Giving us exactly what we need.
Thank it. Blank it. Now, SOUP it?
This was a delight.
Ben, I want you to know that I've been honking the soup horn for a decade+ now
